Life Fitness Cross-Trainer: the best cross trainer I've found

This model, the Life Fitness CT9500HR, is the best cross trainer I've found.

I've tried the Reebok Fusion elliptical trainer (sucks- SUCH an awkward
motion; it was impossible to actually get a workout as I spent the
entire time trying to keep my balance).
I've also tried the Precor EFX (not as bad as the Fusion but REALLY hard on my knees when the height was ramped up).

Life Fitness has several models. My favorite is the commercial
version. Sure, it's expensive and takes up a fifth of my living room,
BUT I get a better workout on it than I have on any other cross trainer.

In general, I'm pretty cheap, but this equipment is definitely worth
the price. If I had to buy a cross trainer again, I'd pick the
same one.

if you have ever had to peel apples, you will be amazed by this kitchen
aid. turn the crank by hand, and within 5 seconds, your apple is
peeled, cored, and sliced into a "slinky" or "spring". i got mine at
Bed Bath and Beyond- they sell for $20. if you plan to make even one
apple pie in your lifetime, this is worth buying. you can also adjust
it so that it will core and slice only, or peel and slice only.
