A Little Too Complicated

I didn't watch the show from the beginning. And here I was trying to watch it mid season. For someone who doesn't watch it reguarly, it's hard to pick up and try to follow. There's too much. You'll spend maybe three minutes watching one scene, cut for a commerical and then switch to another. I can't stand that. If I'm trying to figure something out, it'll take at least the hour to do so because of the cutting of scenes. Perhaps if I watched it from the beginning, I wouldn't have a hard time following it.

Multiple plot lines. Deliciously evil people with deceptive exteriors. This is one of the most enjoyable programs since Twin Peaks with the same underlying dark comedy feel. Great stuff!

Yes they're all very attractive, and yes Felicity Huffman can act circles around most other actresses, but I just don't get it. Why is this considered groundbreaking! The seamy underbelly of suburban living, there's a new idea (i'm being sarcastical).

desperate for more

desperate housewives is fabulous. that's all there is to it.

if you don't like it, just don't watch it. it's that easy. the point
is, the show is mocking soap operas. the monologues at the end are
cheesy but are meant to be. and while it does this, it manages to have
the viewer hooked, wondering what's going to happen next.

all the housewives are great, but my favourite is bree. she's gorgeous
and hilarious - and not a lot of people get it. her character is so
well developed, and the little things she says or does- like bringing a
basket of muffins to the woman in jail in season 1- are true to her
character. refined beyond the point of reality, bree should not be
overlooked at next year's emmys. felicity huffman deserved hers this
year, but i hope marcia cross takes the title next time.

Felicity and Eva are the heart and soul of the show

Appeals to a certain sensibility, if you dont have it
you wont get it. That sensibility has a mother pretending her son has
cancer to get into yoga class, a husband dying thinking his wife killed
him and leaving her a note of forgiveness, a neurotic mess snooping in
her rivals house and burning it down, and a cheating wife "lamenting"
the death of her mother in law when she discovers she is boinking the
gardner.

At times brilliant, at times lame, always interesting.
