If I'm being kind, this movie was Mediocre at best. In typical Batman-movie fashion, it looked good, and had decent action, but character development and storyline were seriously lacking next to Tim Burton's 1st two installments. It definatley was better the the rest of the Batman movies though. (not saying much)

oh my! it was SO cool

THE batman. I could never guess it! Now, I want "the detective". I want
the ral batman, more mature, more grown up. More rude. That is the real
batman, this one is very cool for the begining and it has some aspects
of the real Bats (when he is interrogating the durty cop, that's how
batman is!)

Hope they don't screw this up with some dumb actor playing the joker.

One thing i didn't like is that almost the 70% of the people in the
movie knew that Wayne was batman. And for worst, all the Ras Hal Gu (or
whatever he calls) nijas are out there running wild knowing that Bruce
Wayne is batman. But well... that is the story they came up with.

Apart from that, it was one of the best movies I ever see. 11 points!

I liked it ok. Now that I've seen it on every cross country flight in
the last month, I'm not as enthusiastic as when I first saw it, which
wasn't so enthusiastic then. Christian Bale is sort of gruff and
hoarse, Katie Holmes looks like a chipmunk and adds zero to the movie,
leam neeson has a bad haircut but the plot is fairly faithful to the
comic books, if that matters to you. And I kind of like how the
elevated train crashes into the streets of Gotham. the whole burlap
sack over the face and glowing red eyes thingy just seemed silly.

Everybody's shooting there load over this new Batman. And I admit, it's
very very good. But there's something about Michael Keaton's eyebrows
(an underappreciated feature, on a tragically underappreciated actor.
jack frost what?!) that will always say Batman to me. I say this not as
some fair weather comic book fan, but as an absolute dork whose first
job was working for $5 an hour credit at my local comic shop. I've got
every copy of Rob Leifeld's X-Force #1 featuring trading cards of every
character. Someone shoot me now.

The best retelling of the story of a man dressed up like a bat possible.

This was perfect. Maybe the best action movie I've
ever seen. As much as the Matrix redefined what I came to expect
in special effects, Batman Begins has redefined what I want to see in
terms of the story behind the action.

I loved the first one and hate the whole Robin thing. As much as
possible, they actually made the story of a guy becoming a superhero
actually *ah-hem* believable. The
big difference was the supporting charactors. I mean, think about
it. We went from Ahh-nold and Uma to Liam Neison and Morgan
Freeman. These people are real actors in a real story and it paid
off big time.

How much do you think it costs to be Batman? I mean, he has
no superpowers. Just training and gadgets. Forbes says $3.4
million, but I think its way higher than that. I'd say it takes
about a billion when all is said and done. So basically, Bill
Gates could be Batman if he really wanted to. Sweet.

One thing, though. I sort of thought the Batman voice was weird
and unnecessary. Its not like he's Gilbert Gottfreid where
everyone would know his voice right away unless he hid it.

Holy Action, Batman!

This was great! I'd venture the best summer blockbuster of 2005 in
fact. I was worried that Katie "TomKat" Holmes would ruin it, but she
pulled it off. My only complaint was that Bale's batmask looked a
little tight and made his face looked a bit scrunched up--I mean,
wouldn't Batman want to be more comfortable? And I was a little
embarrassed for him when he would disguise his voice while talking to
people. But all in all, scary, surprising, action-packed, funny, and
completely entertaining.
